The Gbabe Sanitization Procedure

The Gbabe Sanitization Procedure

Tools and Cleaning agents used are: Disinfecting Cleanser such as Pine-sol, Sponge, Scotch-Brite pads, Anti-bacterial cleanser, Soft-Bristled Brush, Spray-on disinfectant, Baby-Laundry Detergent, Borax

  1. We remove any soft plastic or fabric parts from the furniture for thorough cleaning. We vacuum clean the entire piece.
  2. We clean wooden furniture with warm water and disinfectant. Then a wood-safe disinfectant Pine-Sol is poured into a bucket of hot water, and the wood is wiped and cleaned with a sponge. Any caked-on grime is removed by moistening it with hot water and scrubbing with a Scotch-Brite pad.
  3. We Spray plastic baby furniture with an anti-bacterial cleanser and scrub it thoroughly.
  4. Wicker furniture is scrubbed with a soft-bristled brush dipped in hot water and cleanser. The whole piece is sprayed with a disinfectant such as Lysol, and allowed it to air dry.
  5. Fabric parts are tossed in the washing machine with a baby-safe detergent such as Dreft or Ivory Snow. Half a cup of borax is added to the wash to remove stains and strong smells. Borax is a natural mineral that will not compromise flame-retardant finishes or irritate a baby’s skin.
  6. If the fabric is worn out, we replace it with new fabric.
